Osvaldas Matulionis (200-SF-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) provided 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead Bauru past San Salvador in the opener. Bauru recorded a 41:30 halftime advantage. San Salvador narrowed the gap at 6-point mark at the final intermission. However Bauru used a 23:13 run in the fourth term to seal the win. Stefano Pierotti (185-PG-98) had 13 points for the hosts. Guaros rallied past Correcaminos to open win count in Group D. Nestor Colmenares (203-PF-87, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) dropped 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Venezuelan team. Guaros piled up a 46:33 halftime lead. Guaros followed with a 42-point effort in the second half to race to the victory. Heissler Guillent (186-PG-86) netted 14 points for the winners. Terrence Shannon (203-F-79, college: Elgin CC) responded with 26 points and 16 rebounds for Correcaminos.
